Beneski Museum of Natural History at Amherst College is one of New England’s largest natural history museums, offering a layered educational experience through three floors of engaging exhibits. Visitors can explore dinosaur fossils, ice age mammals, extinct bird species, and one of the world’s most studied collections of dinosaur tracks. Exhibits also include local geology, fossil preservation, and evolutionary history. The museum’s collections support both public learning and global research, connecting visitors to earth science, ancient life, and the deep natural history of the region.
