TEDx Talk: Supporting Education Through Community Engagement
Supporting Education
Through Community Engagement
How can we best utilize our communities to support the education of our children while encouraging community engagement?
On October 12, 2013, Hilltown Families Founder, Sienna Wildfield, was invited to present a TEDx Talk that shared her vision and mission behind Hilltown Families. In this TEDx Talk, “Supporting Education Through Community Engagement,” Sienna shares her story on why feeling connected to where you live matters, and how community-based education and community-service learning can help grow active citizens who care about where they live.
Feeling connected to where you live is a vital ingredient in creating sustainable and resilient communities, and supporting our children’s education through community engagement is one way to get there! Hilltown Families is a tool for western Massachusetts that works towards this goal.
