Morgan Taylor of Gustafer Yellowgold join us on the Hilltown Family Variety Show, including songs by Harry Nilsson. This led me to discover a video from The Point with one of Harry Nilsson’s songs that Uncle Rock played on his Guest DJ visit, “Think About Your Troubles:”
Gustafer Yellowgold comes to Florence … each of their songs is a blend of moving illustrations set to minimally animated illustrations that are accompanied by catchy and original story-songs for a truly different multimedia experience. Here’s their performance of “The Mustard Slugs,” off of their brand new, award-winning CD:
Gustafer Yellowgold is a friendly creature who came to Earth from the Sun and has an interesting magnetism for making friends with some of Earth’s odder creatures. His best friend is Forrest Applecrumbie. the smartly dressed Pterodactyl, with whom he built a small cottage-style home on the edge of an uncharted wooded area in Minnesota. Gustafer has a pet eel named Slim (short for Slimothy) and a dragon named Asparagus who lives in his fireplace. For recreation, he enjoys punching cheese.
