The 19th Annual North Quabbin Garlic and Arts Festival is September 23 & 24 from 10am-5pm in Orange, MA. There’s something for everyone at this fabulous family destination. Images Cinema, a nonprofit independent movie theater in north Berkshire County, celebrates 100 years! To mark this momentous occasion, this community film house will host a number of special events and screenings throughout the year, culminating with a special cinematic celebration later this year!
The first of its kind locally, the Sprout Film Festival features films about people with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Scheduled for Sunday, February 28th, the event brings attention to meaningful human experiences and cultivates a local culture of understanding and inclusiveness.
True to its name, the 7 Day Film Sprint is a week-long filmmaking event calling for the creation of original films in just seven days. Ideal for aspiring filmmakers, the upcoming creative event offers the opportunity to become part of the local filmmaking community and to explore filmmaking technology.
Pairing original music with decades-old films, two upcoming events spotlight the true art of filmmaking. Screenings of two vastly different silent films will be accompanied by original scores created by Alloy Orchestra – offering two unique opportunities for older learners to explore the art of filmmaking.
