Hilltown Families list of Weekly Suggested Events for Father’s Day Weekend is up and packed with great ways to celebrate not only that special dad in your life, but also the first weekend of Summer!

Calling all sports fans, history buffs, aviators, foodies & music lovers! This Sunday is Father’s Day weekend and we’re highlighting 11 community-based activities you can do with the father in your life!

Lillian W. of Shelburne Falls writes: “I discovered Hilltown Families about 3 years ago, shortly after the birth of my first child. I grew up here, and felt like I had a pretty good grasp on community events and going-ons. I read the local newspaper, worked in a public school, attended town meetings…but I still felt like I wasn’t ‘in the loop’ when it came to family-oriented life in the area. Hilltown Families has definitely opened us up to new adventures, even things that have been going on for years that we just hadn’t ever checked out…”

Canoeing, Fishing & Father’s Day CANOEING This past week the Hilltown Families Outdoor Adventure Spring Program concluded two weeks of canoeing. Under warm sunny skies, families learned about safety on the water and different paddling strokes. We then took to the water and practiced J-strokes and sweep-strokes as we paddled around exploring the edges of the lake and learning a little history of the area.
