Our Place Summerschool “unplugs” your child by bringing them into direct contact with the creatures, geologies, hydrologies, and infrastructures of the Mid Connecticut River and Westfield River watersheds. Students learn to read the land and watercourses, to comport themselves responsibly in sensitive habitats, and to gain awareness of their ecobiotic self, making friends, challenging themselves, and exercising their minds and bodies. Participants explore the land and rivers that give us life and, through questions prompted by shared experiences, build a sense-based, actual understanding of how we fit into our place.
