The Amherst BID presents Concerts on the Common, a free five‑week summer music series on Fridays, 5–8pm on the Town Common. Lineup includes: Harvest & Rust with Matt York (June 27); LeFever, Lonesome Brothers & BR413 (July 11); The GemsTones & Masala Jazz (July 18); UMass Jazz All‑Stars (July 25); and Bad News Jazz Orchestra & Henderson Blues Band (August 1). These events build community, support downtown shops/eateries, and feature a cash bar with beer, wine, cider (21+), and non‑alcoholic drinks. Presented by Amherst BID & Encharter Insurance, with support from Mass Cultural Council, New England Public Media, UMass Fine Arts Center, and Amherst Cultural Council.
