Concerts on the Amherst Common
Concerts on the Common brings free live music to the Amherst Town Common on Summer Fridays, presented by the Amherst BID. This evening features Masala Jazz, a Leverett-based trio blending jazz with funk, tango, and blues, and The GemsTones, a young retro-rock band of brothers reviving 1950s rockabilly and country sounds. These performances support music studies through rhythm, improvisation, and musical heritage, connecting live music with local culture in a shared community space. Bring a picnic or grab takeout from downtown. A cash bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available.
