Paper Quilling
Paper quilling gives you a chance to explore a decorative art that flourished in women’s homes in Europe and Colonial America during the 17th and 18th centuries. By rolling strips of paper, you’ll see how people made detailed designs with just a few simple tools. Quilling was once taught as a refined skill and shows how geometry and design were passed down through families. In this workshop, you’ll get hands-on experience and see how creativity and everyday life came together in the past.
Self-Directed Learning
Did you know … The word quilling comes from the tool used to roll the paper: a bird’s quill!
