Massachusetts Maple Weekend
Maple Weekend invites neighbors to step into sugarhouses across Massachusetts and experience how sap becomes syrup during the brief window of late winter. Hosted by members of the Massachusetts Maple Producers Association, this annual tradition highlights regional agriculture, food systems, and the long history of maple sugaring in New England. Did you know it takes about 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of maple syrup? From tastings and tours to meals and family-run operations, Maple Weekend supports curiosity, shared experience, and a strong sense of place rooted in forest stewardship, seasonal rhythms, and the sweet work of local producers.
