Lights! Camera! Greenfield! 2026: Community Film Sprint
Lights! Camera! Greenfield! is a community filmmaking challenge that invites participants to create a short film over two weeks. Hosted by Greenfield Community Television, this annual film sprint begins with a kickoff email that delivers surprise prompts to each team. Because prompts are released at the same time, everyone starts on equal footing, with the focus placed on how ideas are interpreted and woven into a story.
Participants work through the full filmmaking process, from writing and filming to editing and submitting a four-minute film by a set deadline. Creative limits shape the experience, encouraging filmmakers to experiment with narrative choices and visual storytelling while working within real-world constraints.
The challenge concludes with a public screening at the Greenfield Garden Cinema, where films are shared with the community. Filmmakers of all experience levels are welcome, and guidance is available for those new to video production. Lights! Camera! Greenfield! offers an accessible entry point into creative expression through hands-on, community-based filmmaking.
