Kids’ Crafternoon: Life-Sized Self-Portraits
Children explore size, proportion, and symmetry by creating a life-sized self-portrait at the library. Using their own bodies as a guide, participants measure height, compare arm span, and notice how their features align from one side to the other. As they trace, draw, and add details, this hands-on activity supports early math concepts through observation and spatial awareness. All materials are provided, and the process invites curiosity about how the body is structured and how it fits within space. – Ages 4+
