23rd Annual Housatonic Heritage Walks

Heritage Walks bring free, guided experiences to Berkshire County, MA, and Litchfield County, CT. Led by historians and naturalists, these walks highlight local history, culture, and landscapes, supporting curiosity and community connections through place-based learning.

  • Peru, MA: Fauna & Flora of the Dorothy Rice Sanctuary (10am–1pm)
  • Stockbridge, MA: Sculpting the Land – Chesterwood Historic Site (10am–12pm)
  • Lenox, MA: Behind the Scenes Tour of Tanglewood (10–11:30am)
  • Lee, MA: Nature Walk at Golden Hill Town Forest (11am–12:30pm)
  • Great Barrington, MA: Reservoir Rocks Hike – East Mountain (1–4pm)
  • Stockbridge, MA: Indian Town History Walk (1–2:30pm)
  • Windsor, MA: Boreal Forest Full Hunter’s Moon Hike at Notchview (4:30–6:30pm)

Note: Wear sturdy shoes, bring water/snacks, and be prepared for weather.
