Swampfield Historical Society Graves Memorial Museum
Most Wednesdays, the Graves Memorial Museum opens its doors for a few quiet hours in the afternoon. The Swampfield Historical Society, begun in 1941 by William L. Hubbard and his former teacher, Olive Hubbard, grew from a shared interest in local objects and stories. Since 2006, the museum has gathered artifacts, documents, and records in the Graves Memorial Library, offering a place to notice how daily life in Sunderland has shifted over time. Exhibits and occasional talks invite visitors to look closely at what remains, tracing connections between past and present through the details left behind.
