Annual Whimsical Fairy Walk at Stanley Park
At the Whimsical Fairy Walk, families can move through the Woodland Wildflower Garden noticing how imagination often begins with close attention to the natural world. Older fairy lore often placed fairies in hills, mounds, and other special places in the landscape, while the modern tradition of building fairy houses invites people to create tiny shelters from fallen bark, twigs, moss, and stone. As small structures appear along the path to the Enchanted Oak Tree, the event supports an interest in folklore, woodland ecology, and nature-based art. Arts and crafts in the Beveridge Pavilion extend the experience through hands-on making and shared community creativity.
