Northampton Karate

Accepting students of all ages year-round! Join thousands of folks from across Western Massachusetts who have come to Northampton Karate to learn traditional Okinawan Matsubayashi style of Shorin-ryu karate since its founding in 1988. Their students learn martial arts techniques, self-defense, and physical discipline through kata (forms) as well as partner work, including Kumite (sparring). The founder of Shorin-Ryu believed that cultivating the mind was as important as physical training, so they emphasized deep focus & mindfulness in their practice. Northampton Karate welcomes all genders and experience & fitness levels. Kids, teens & adult classes are each tailored to meet different age group needs. Karate can be enjoyed for a lifetime!
