Exploring these flowers can help us appreciate the connection between plants and people, broaden our knowledge of horticulture, and learn about the historical significance of flowers in different cultures. Some of the most well-known edible flowers include rose petals , lavender , nasturtium , marigold , chrysanthemum , elderflower , hibiscus , viola , squash blossoms , and bee balm . Each flower has its own unique taste and culinary use, but it’s essential to ensure that they are free from pesticides and safe to eat.
