Welcome Yule celebrates the return of light with an annual family show of music, dance, song and story to drive the dark away. The show is set in the mythical village with villagers and animals singing of the coming of winter and rebirth of spring as Fox and Rooster chase through the countryside. Wreaths, decorative rings of leaves, twigs, flowers or other natural elements, are used in various ceremonial events across the globe. Wreaths have historically been used as crowns, as memorial items, and as festive holiday decorations. You can participate in this tradition, this winter season, by creating your own wreath. Wreath making workshops will take place December 6, 9, and 11. All materials are included and experts will walk you through the process of creating a wreath to last until Valentine’s Day.
