The Montessori School of Northampton’s annual Children’s Fall Fair and Open House will be held on Saturday, October 17, from 11am-3pm. This family-friendly event features games and activities, arts and crafts, delicious food and, premiering this year, the #WeNeedDiverseBooks book fair! Admission is free; there is a small fee for activities. During the fair, the school will be open for families to meet staff, visit classrooms and learn about the current programs from toddler through 6th grade as well as the new middle school opening in September 2016. The Hitchcock Center and Naturalist Ted Watt invite you to a geology hike up Mount Holyoke in Skinner State Park. Meet at the entrance gate and the hike will entail walking the auto road part way and then taking the New England National Scenic Trail to the summit of the mountain.
