Youth participants ages 8-14 can be matched with adult mentors to build relationships, learn new skills, and develop interests – all in a supportive and fun environment!

Sunday, February 15, 10am-4pm: WINTER CELEBRATION: Berkshire County can kick cabin fever at North Adams’ Winter Fest! Winter Fest brings everything from ice sculptures to bracelet making (and most things in between) to the northern Berkshire community. There will be live music throughout town, special promotions at downtown businesses, information and vendor booths on Main Street, as well as pony rides, face painting, and a bonfire – events galore! Active families can even participate in a fun run/walk on North Adams’ Walking Loops, a new creation thanks to Mass in Motion.

Saturday, February 14, 10am-3pm – ANIMAL TRACKING: Hopkins Memorial Forest will host an animal tracking adventure. Naturalist and tracker Dan Yacobellis of Tamakoce Wilderness Adventures, trained in the ancient art of tracking by the Lakota people of in South Dakota, will lead participants in the field to look for tracks of native Berkshire wildlife. The program will be focused on following tracks in the outdoors, however there will be opportunities to go indoors to warm up and review some of the fundamentals of tracking and animal behavior.
