I second Stump Sprouts. Really nice people, good food, beautiful views, and great Xc skiing (or hiking/snowshoeing) if you want to do that
We rent out our wonderful cabin in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont! Under 3 hours from Greenfield. We just built it, it sleeps 6, set back from the road in the silence of nature. Check us out at http://www.vermontproperty.com #1815. X-country skiing 15 min away, snowshoeing outside the door. Views, lakes and mountains minutes away. Very kid-friendly cabin. Our grandkids love it there. No cable, no wifi. Ah….
