Celebrate all things maple at the 27th Annual Maplefest in Chester, MA this Saturday, March 17th. The day begins with a pancake breakfast followed with a day of hayrides to High Meadow Farm's Sugarhouse, animal exhibits and entertainment at the church as well as food vendors and crafters.

Spring has sprung here in Western MA, and the sap is flowing! Celebrate maple season at the 27th annual Maplefest this Saturday, March 17th from 9am-3pm on Skyline Trail in Old Chester Center in Chester, MA.  Hosted by the Chester Hill Association, Maplefest features locally produced maple products, music, art, and fun activities for the whole family.

The first event of the day is a community pancake breakfast, which will take place from 9am-12noon at the First Congregational Church. Other highlights of the festival include a craft show featuring work from local artists and craftspeople at the old schoolhouse, a performance from the Pioneer Valley Fiddlers at the church at 12noon, visits from animal friends, and demonstrations from the Chester Fire Department.

Families can also take a wagon ride to the High Meadow Farm sugarhouse, where they can learn about the specifics of maple syrup production! For more information, contact Joe Simonowicz at 413-354-7897.
