13th Annual North Quabbin Garlic and Arts Festival
More Scent-sational than Ever!
Festival organizers invite you to, “Enjoy and support the bounty of amazing, regional artists, farmers and organizations; strengthen communities by purchasing locally crafted and grown. Gain vision and skills for local living: learn to grow garlic, press cider, mill lumber, grind grain, and go solar. Nourish yourself through chef demos, glorious garlic cuisine and the wondrous wood fired bread oven. Transform trash into compost (only three bags of garbage for 10,000 people); Orange IS the New Green! Celebrate with stellar music and entertainment on two solar powered stages and throughout the rolling fields. Over fifty free, inspiring performances, presentations and activities, fabulous kids art and nature activities, and garlic games galore all weekend long.
“Two solar stages come alive with the region’s finest performers. The musical line-up is amazing: Girl Howdy, Samantha Farrell, LuxDeluxe, The Gypsy Wranglers, Gaia Roots, Little Shop of Horas, Richard Chase, and Mother Turtle. The fabulous family stage features Inside Out Dance Company, Attar Bellydance, Celtic Heels Irish Dance, and Joshua Pearson. More entertainment fills the fields with SHOW Circus Studio’s trapeze, the Skeleton Crew Theater, and the Athol HS Band. Celebrated local chefs from the Gill Tavern, Stockbridge Farm, The Kitchen Garden, Holy Smokes, Greenfield’s Market and the Bohemian Kitchen will inspire your garlic and farm-fresh creations. Energize your life with incredible workshops on solar hot water, converting your bike to electric, forestry with a conscience and more! Take a Healing break as you experience The Alexander Technique, the Art of Bellydance, Acupressure, Breema massage or a Community Yoga session.
“All this for an inflation busting, family friendly admission of only $5.00 per day for adults, weekend pass $8.00, kids 12 and under free. A fully volunteer committee of friends and neighbors, and Seeds of Solidarity Education Center, a non-profit organization, organize the North Quabbin Garlic and Arts Festival.
