Family Day: A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children
Make A Dinner Date with Your Family

Pledge now to become a Family Day STAR! By doing this, you are uniting with parents all across the country who agree that the parental engagement fostered around the dinner table makes a difference in the lives of their kids!
The Communities That Care Coalition’s Family Day is next week, and they are encouraging families to have dinner together on Monday, September 26th! Begun by the Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse, Family Day is a national movement that encourages families to eat together not just on this one day, but frequently throughout the year. Studies have shown that the more frequently kids eat with their families, the less likely they are to smoke, drink, or use drugs and they are more likely to do well in school. Sharing a meal helps kids feel connected to their parents and families and creates a part of the day during which kids can decompress and build connections.
