Erin McKeown is a young veteran of the East Coast folk-rock scene. Commandeering a variety of stringed instruments she mixes folk, gospel, and Hank Williams-style country with a twist of Django Reinhardt and G. Love. In addition to recording for others and performing her own songs all over the world, Erin McKeown’s music has been featured on television shows The L Word, Gilmore Girls, Privileged, Jake in Progress, and Nip/Tuck. She has appeared in People magazine, on the cover of Paste magazine, on NPR, Jools Holland, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. She’s proud to have shared the stage with friends Andrew Bird, Ani DiFranco, Amy Ray, Martin Sexton, Josh Ritter, Michelle Shocked, Mike Doughty, Matt Nathanson, Stephen Kellogg, and Richard Thompson. Erin is expanding as a writer-into essays and poetry-and as an activist, lobbying for better energy policy on Capitol Hill and teaching songwriting at girls’ rock camps across the country.

In the summer of 2009, Erin created “Cabin Fever”, a live internet concert series broadcast from her picturesque cabin in rural western Massachusetts. Described as “Wayne’s World meets the Judy Garland Show”, the series has garnered considerable attention for its entertaining exploration of the intersections of art, technology, and commerce. Erin’s latest studio album is Hundreds of Lions, produced by Sam Kassirer and out now on Righteous Babe Records. Live At Lincoln Hall, a concert film recorded to celebrate Erin’s first decade in music, will be released in late spring 2011.
