ABOUT THE PRIMATE FIASCO
Psychedelic Dixieland Music With The Primate Fiasco! – A grassroots band that got its start on the streets of Northampton, The Primate Fiasco is comprised of five musicians — Dave DelloRusso (banjo/vocals), Nick Borges (trumpet/vocals), Steve Yarbro (sax/clarinet), Chris Trevethan (drums), and J. Witbeck (tuba/bass) — whose combined instrumentation is characteristic of a New Orleans sidewalk band and authentic “traditional jazz” but with modern influences, combining funk, reggae, bluegrass, hip hop, rock, latin, trance, and the occasional Serbian gypsy jam.
During this family friendly concert, The Primate Fiasco will play some of the classic anthems of childhood, as well as other tunes from their first studio produced album Geek Dreams, plus a whole lot more. The band’s signature sidewalk circus-like atmosphere may enter the building too — with face painters, clowns, random jugglers, yo-yo masters, and hula hoopers possibly making an appearance. The Primate Fiasco intends to record this Nonotuck benefit concert for their upcoming children’s cd.
Debuting at this show will be the very first Primate Fiasco coloring book:“14 pages of illustrated fiasco,” drawn by the banjo player himself, and on sale near the coloring table!
