Coffee & Conversation in Ashfield with State Senator Downing

Free Coffee & Open Conversation
Downing Hosts an Open Meeting at Ashfield Town Hall on January 15th

On Friday, January 15th, state Senator Benjamin B. Downing (D-Pittsfield) will host Coffee & Conversation at Ashfield Town Hall, located at 412 Main Street from 10:00am-11:30am. During that time, Downing will provide free coffee and be available for open, unscripted conversation to those interested in meeting with their state senator face-to-face.

To further his goal of being fully accessible to constituents residing in all 48 communities of his district, Downing hosts Coffee & Conversation – open public forums in rotating towns across his Berkshire, Hampshire and Franklin Senate District – on ten Fridays throughout the year. In 2010 Downing plans to bring the series to Monterey, Windsor, Huntington, Rowe, Egremont, Hinsdale, Williamsburg, Otis and Cheshire.

While Downing’s community relations and constituent services hub is his 20 Bank Row district office in Pittsfield, he recognizes that serving the largest, most rural district in the Massachusetts Senate presents communication challenges. The Pittsfield office is open during normal business hours Monday through Friday; walk-ins are always welcome.
