Greetings!

Berkshire Children and Families in Hadley is happy to announce the starting date of another Positive Parenting group. This free group covers topics including parenting styles, age-appropriate discipline, child development, self-esteem, and communication. The 10-week series will begin Monday, September 28, 2009. The group will meet from 5 pm to 7pm at Berkshire Children and Families, 220 Russell Street, Suite 200 Hadley, MA. A meal, transportation and childcare will be provided.

We are also offering the Kin Caregivers group beginning September 23, 2009 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, also at Berkshire Children and Families in Hadley. This group is for relatives who are caring for their grandchildren, siblings, cousins, nieces or nephews ages 0 to 6. Topics to be covered include: legal issues, the impact of children’s histories on their current lives, children’s developmental needs, health issues, caregivers and children’s relationships with biological parents. A meal, transportation and childcare will be provided.
