Building Stronger Families, Communities and Ecosystems
Naturalist and Author Jon Young to Speak on Nature, Culture & Community
Jon Young, an animal tracker, educator, and author, will speak about The Galvanizing Moment: Nature, Culture, and Community on Wednesday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the All Soul’s Church, 399 Main St, Greenfield, Mass.
Jon Young collaborates globally with organizations and individuals seeking to foster deeper community and nature connections through the power of cultural and mentoring principles. His work is designed to bring the collective wisdom of nature back into the modern experience.
At a time when many people are waking up to the need and possibility for radical change in the way we live our lives, Jon will speak of the opportunity for us to reconnect with each other, our natural world, and our highest selves.
“We know,” says Jon, “That nature connection alone won’t generate the changes we envision. We also need to learn to tend our relationships. This means we need to think about nature and culture, permaculture and peacemaking.”
This is a rare New England opportunity to hear Jon talk about the core ideas that form the basis of his work to build stronger families, communities, and ecosystems with the resilience to thrive in the years to come.
The talk is sponsored by the Institute for Natural Learning of Brattleboro, Vermont, which presents nature and mentoring programs designed to help people connect with themselves, nature, and their community.
Admission to the talk is $10. Tickets will be available at the door.
