FEATURED EVENT:

On the Ashfield Town Common will gather community members for an annual Winter Solstice Celebration, featuring bonfire, story telling, singing and Morris Dancers.  This community event is free.  Warm up at Elmer’s after with something hot to drink.

SATURDAY – 12/20

• 9am-10am – Holiday storytelling on the Hilltown Family Variety Show: Owl Moon by Jane Yolen, and The Trees of the Dancing Goats by Patricia Polacco on 103.3FM WXOJ out of Northampton, MA.
• 9:30am-11:30am – Community Kwanzaa Celebration and Craft at the Forbes Library Community Room in Northampton, MA. (Free)
• Noon-1:50pm – Public ice skating at the Collins/Moylan Memorial Skating Rink in Greenfield. Skate rentals available. 413.772.6891
• 2pm & 4pm – Basketball at UMass in Amherst, MA.
• 4-8pm – Hayrides at Look Park in Florence, MA.
• 4 – 6:50pm –  There will be a public ice skate at the Mullins Center Ice Rink at UMass in Amherst. Skate rentals available. 413.545.3990
• 5-9pm – Christmas by Candlelight at the Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, MA.
• 6pm – Winter Solstice Celebration on the Town Common in Ashfield, MA. (Free)
• 6:30pm – Winter Solstice Celebration at the Center for Cultural Evolution in Colrain, MA.
• 7pm – A Winter Solstice Celebration at the Northampton Center for the Arts. (Kids Free)
• 7:30pm – The Bluebird ballet adaptation at East Street Theater in Hadley, MA.
• 8pm – Old Deerfield Productions presents A Christmas Carol at the Academy of Music in Northampton, MA.

SUNDAY – 12/21

• 

  9am-1pm – Santa will be in Worthington, MA at the Corners Grocery Store, along with wagon rides. (Free)

• Noon-1:50pm – Public ice skating at the Collins/Moylan Memorial Skating Rink in Greenfield. Skate rentals available. 413.772.6891
• 2pm – Old Deerfield Productions presents A Christmas Carol at the Academy of Music in Northampton, MA.
• 2pm – Traditional Chanukah stories at the National Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, MA.
• 2pm – Film: Hansel und Gretel at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, MA.
• 2:30pm – The Bluebird ballet adaptation at East Street Theater in Hadley, MA.
• 3-4:30pm –  There will be a public ice skate at the Mullins Center Ice Rink at UMass in Amherst. Skate rentals available. 413.545.3990
• 3:30pm-5:30pm – Family Chanukah Celebration at Beit Ahavah in Florence, MA.
• 4pm – Caroling in Worthington, MA beginning at Town Hall, followed by a potluck dinner party at 6:30pm.  (Free)
• 5-9pm – Christmas by Candlelight at the Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, MA.
• 5:30pm – Winter Solstice celebration at the Mass Audubon Arcadia Nature Center and Wildlife Sanctuary in Easthampton, MA. (Food Drive)
• 5:30pm-8pm – Jewish Community Chanukah Party in Amherst, MA.
• 6pm – Winter Solstice Celebration at the Center of Town with music, food and a bonfire in Westhampton, MA. (Free)
