There are great opportunities this weekend to craft handmade gifts, decorations and goodies for the holiday season, a theme a great many families are interested in, especially this year:  The Montague Grange and the Historic Deerfield Museum are both hosting opportunities for families to make beautiful and affordable holiday gifts.  – Mom’s are invited to Atherton Farm in Buckland to make wreaths to decorate your home or give as gifts.  – And Bread Euphoria in Haydenville is offering a Gingerbread Making Workshop for families too!  Lots or opportunities to get crafty this weekend.

Families looking for volunteer opportunities this holiday season (and beyond!) check out Network for Good.  Network for Good connects individuals, families and groups seeking volunteer opportunities with organizations/groups in need of volunteers.  Click here to search for an organization within your city/state or use your zip code to find an opportunity within 25 miles of your home.  All results have links to more information about the opportunity and organization.  Areas of interests include Children and Youth, Civic and Community, Animals and Environment, Health, Human Services, Religion, General and several others.

If you know of any volunteer opportunities in Western Massachusetts that families could participate in, please post details in our comment box for families to discover.
