FEATURED EVENT: BLOOD & GUTS AT LILLY LIBRARY
Blood & Guts: A hands-on science learning experience for students and their families will happen tonight, Friday October 17, 6-8 pm at the Lilly Library in Florence (Sponsored by Baystate Franklin Medical Center). This event is free and open to the public. Free refreshments and raffle. See actual patient X-rays; look at cells under a microscope; touch real human bones; learn about healthy eating; test your balance on a physio ball or rocker board; test yourself on how well you wash your hands; talk with Baystate Franklin Medical Center professionals about their careers in health care; and much more!
Saturday – 10/18
- All weekend long at Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge is their Harvest Days.
- Head over to the Historic Deerfield Museum for “Made-by-Hand-Trades of the Past” Demonstrations.
- 9am-Noon – On Saturday will be Williamsburg‘s first annual Energy Fair with fun family demos.
- 9:30am – Pioneer Valley Women of Color Moms Group has a group meeting at the Forbes Library in Northampton.
- 10am-1pm – Explore the eastern forest with the family on a morning walk at Fitzgerald Lake in Northampton.
- 10am-3pm – At Look Park in Florence will be the annual Halloween fall fun with many tricks & treats.
- 10am-4pm – At the Littleville Fairgrounds in Chester there will be the 4th annual Littleville Harvest Festival.
- Noon – Check out the ABC Fall Foliage Walk in Amherst at the town common.
- 2pm – At the Northampton Community Music Center there will be a family concert with Aric Bieganeck.
- 7-10pm – In the evening in Goshen is the annual Haunted Village at the Holy Cross Campgrounds all weekend.
Sunday – 10/19
- All weekend long at Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge is their Harvest Days.
- 11am – Annual Fall Festival happens in Westhampton, including the Great Pumpkin Roll!
- 4pm – Take the family to see the world premiere of “Johnny Appleseed” in Longmeadow.
- 7-10pm – In the evening in Goshen is the annual Haunted Village at the Holy Cross Campgrounds all weekend.
