THIS WEEKS CONTEST

This week we are offering two Scholastic DVD’s released this year:

  1. Chrysanthemum … And More Mouse Mayhem
  2. Click, Clack Moo: Cows  That Type … And More Amusing Animal Tales

I’ve gushed in the past about how much I like this series, and here is another opportunity on HilltownFamilies.org to add these DVD’s to your families collection of quality entertainment.  Each of these offer a Read-Along function, an excellent tool for encouraging reading in your kids.

Chrysanthemum … And More Mouse Mayhem

Chrysanthemum thinks her name is absolutely perfect – until the kids at school make fun of her (kids can be so cruel!).  It takes a special friend to change her classmates’ minds in this classic by author/illustrator Kevin Henkes and narrated by Meryl Streep.  Five other humorous tales, including two Spanish read-along stories, are included.

Click, Clack Moo: Cows That Type … And More Amusing Animal Tales

Cows that type?  Hens on strike?  How can Farmer Brown run his farm with no milk and no eggs?  Find out in the lead story narrated by Randy Travis and adapted from the Caldecott Honor Book by Doreen Cronin, illustrated by Betsy Lewin.  Six other amusing animal tales are featured on this moo-riffic DVD!
