Valley Free Radio, the radio home of the Hilltown Family Variety Show, is having a block party in Noho with a line-up of kids music! It’s part of VFR’s on-going community sponsored fundraising drive. Drop by and listen to some good music while supporting community radio by making a donation. There will be an on-air fundraising drive happening all this week too. Yom Kippur

8am – FAMILY RADIO – While traveling around town, tune-in to WXOJ 103.3 FM in Northampton, MA, from 8-10am to hear fabulous family-friendly music on Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child [All ages] (Free)

10am-4pm – VINTAGE AUTOMOBILES – Is your child obsessed with old cars? The Springfield Museum in Springfield, MA, is displaying vintage vehicles this weekend along with family activities and crafts. 10:30am – HISTORIC TRADES DEMO – Take the kids to Historic Deerfield in Deerfield, MA, to see a historical trade demonstration related to letterpress printing and bookbinding at the Wilson Print Shop. Noon-3pm – KIDS MUSIC – Valley Free Radio community radio station will be throwing a block party at Pulaski Park in Northampton, MA. There will be live kids music from noon-3pm and more music to follow until 6pm. This is a fundraising event for the station. [Families] ($)

9pm – PARENT COFFEE BREAK – After dropping the kids off at school or their homeschool program, drop into Elmer’s in Ashfield, MA. Not only do they have great coffee, they have a fantastic breakfast menu too. Connect with other parents. If you’d rather do some work, bring your laptop (they have wireless!) and let them bring you coffee!
