ABOUT THE NSC
Founded in 1979, the Northampton Survival Center is an emergency food pantry and referral service, distributing approximately 2,000 pounds of free food every weekday to low-income individuals and families in the following towns: Chesterfield, Cummington, Easthampton, Florence, Goshen, Hadley, Hatfield, Haydenville, Leeds, Northampton, Plainfield, South Hadley, Southampton, Westhampton, Williamsburg, and Worthington.
As the NSC’s major annual fundraiser, there will be multiple opportunities to make donations. Food boxes will be displayed showing the various costs of providing food to clients (e.g. “$100 helps us feed one child breakfast and lunch every weekday for the summer”), and contributions toward our “Buy a Box of Food” Fund will be tallied and periodically announced to the guests. There will also be opportunities to tour the emergency food pantry, meet Board, staff and volunteers, and hear from local speakers about the vital role of the NSC throughout the County.
