Hilltown Community Events at Yanner Park in Sandison

Friends of Yanner Park will hold a series of community events to raise money for its ongoing park development project. The all-volunteer organization plans to put a ball field, pavilion, playground, gardens and walking trails on 250 acres of land bequeathed to the town of Sandisfield by the late Jack Yanner.

This year’s events include: 

• Pancake Breakfasts on Mother’s Day (May 13), Father’s Day (June 17), and Columbus Day weekend (Oct 7)
• Fireworks show on August 18th
• Lobster supper on August 25th
• Talent show on October 20th that will jointly benefit Friends of Yanner Park and the Sandisfield Arts Center.

According to Robbin Campetti, President of the organization, the group hopes to complete one of the major park elements this summer. For more information about Yanner Park, visit www.yannerpark.org.
