Families effected by delay of MA health insurance requirements

Health Rules Delayed [Boston (AP)] – That’s what the headline on the front page of the Daily Hampshire Gazette reads today. According to the Gazette, “Requirements won’t kick in until early 2009.”

And The Berkshire Eagle concurs this, reporting “Residents and businesses have a little longer to comply with the state’s stringent new insurance standards under preliminary regulations approved yesterday. – All residents must have some kind of health care as of July 1, but they can wait until Jan. 1, 2009, to have the more expensive coverage required by the state.”
