Noon – Valentine Mosaic’s – Bisque, Beads and Beyond in Pittsfield, MA, will be having an open mosaic class for kids, just in time for Valentine’s Day from noon – 3pm. Last child seated at 2:15. 7:30pm – Valentine’s Dance – Saturday Jukebox will be playing music during the Otis Valentine Dance at the Otis Town Hall in Otis, MA. [Families w/night owls] ($)
Saturday – 02/10/07
10am – Valentine Gift Making – From 10pm – noon join other children make Valentine gifts from their families and friends at the Children’s Art Museum in Shelburne Falls, MA. [All ages] ($)
10am – VALENTINE WORKSHOP – From 10am – noon at the Wistariahurst Museum in Holyoke, MA, join artist Marjorie Latham from Marjidoll.com for a fun and creative hands-on workshop on the art of crafting valentines. [All ages] ($)
10am – Chocolate Festival – Valentine’s day is the perfect time to visit Historic Deerfield and delight in a day of everything chocolate! From 10am – 4pm visitors will enjoy a wide range of activities including family-friendly arts and crafts, hayrides, raffles, demonstrations, lectures, tours of museum houses, and more. As always, it will revolve around a sumptuous array of chocolate desserts, foods, and beverages available for purchase at the Deerfield Inn [Families] ($)
5:30pm – Sweetheart Spaghetti Supper – Friends of the Huntington Public Library will be having their Valentine Sweetheart Spaghetti Supper. Tickets are available at the library. [Families] ($)
Sunday – 02/11/07
1pm – Butterfly Valentines – Magic Wings in Deerfield, MA, invites families to come by, warm up, enjoy the butterfies and join in the making of butterfly valentines from 1pm-3 pm. [All ages] ($)
2pm – Valentines’ Snowshoe Hike – For couples, families and friends this is a chance to walk wintery trails with snow shoes from 2pm – 4pm at Red Gate Farm in Buckland, MA. We will examine animal tracks, observe birds, discuss the natural history of Red Gate’s forest and have a great time! Please let them know if snowshoes are needed. Call to register. [Ages 9 & up] ($)
Monday – 02/12/07
<5:30pm – MY FUNNY VALENTINE – Kids cooking class at Whole Foods in Hadley, MA. Decorate cookies and make valentines. Registration is required. [preK & up] ($)
Thursday – 02/15/07
1:30pm & 6:30pm – Valentine Story Hour – The Huntington Public Library is having a Day After (Valentine’s Day) Story Hour. Paticipants will make crafts, listen to stories and have refreshments. [All ages] (Free)
