Sushi Social in West Chesterfield

Hilltown mom’s gathered in West Chesterfield, MA, for a sushi social and Yankee Swap. Women came from miles to celebrate the season, including from Ashfield, Dalton, Cummington, East Hampton, Plainfield, Chesterfield, Worthington, Shelburne Falls, Goshen and Windsor, to have all manner of sushi in a lounge like atmosphere. Everyone gathered to reconnect with old friends while making many new connections, sharing family stories from this past year and looking ahead as a community to the year to come.

Guests brought a wrapped gift to participate in an old fashion Yankee Swap. A fun time was had by all. There were many coveted presents, including an original Jen Smith jewelry piece, and pottery crafted by Christy Knox and Connie Talbot, local women artists from the hills.

Desserts and tea followed the swap while guests continued their negotiations amongst one another to trade for their gift of choice. Door prizes were handed out at the end of the evening and everyone went home with containers of sushi to share with their families. All in all the event was a celebratory and nurturing celebration, a wonderful way to to share in this holiday season.
